I started Beautiful Uproar because my daughters live in leotards
We wanted something simple in design and ethically made, that both parents and kids would love. Working with natural materials was important to us. We found a wonderful fabric that is a combination of GOTS certified organic cotton with a hint of synthetic spandex for just the right amount of stretch. It is all milled right here in the USA. Our manufacturing partner is located in Seattle, WA, not far from our office. The proximity is advantageous and allows us to work directly with a reputable company who pay their employees livable wages in an ethical work environment. From our elastic to our thread to our labels, we source exclusively within the United States. We’re proud to support local vendors in the manufacturing of our garments and we thank you for supporting local when you buy our products, as well.
We take pride in our ethical process
Our leotards are made with 94% GOTS certified organic cotton (milled in the US) with 6% spandex and eco friendly elastic (made in the US, 70% cotton / 30% rubber). We use low impact dyes printed in Utah. Our packaging, from stickers to tissue paper to mailers, is recycled, reusable and recyclable.
